The Grinch Snatches Presents in Selfoss

A man called police in Selfoss, south Iceland, at the weekend to report that someone had snuck into his house and stolen Christmas presents, which he had wrapped up and planned to give to his friends and relatives.

According to police, there were no sings of a break-in. The house owner said he had not locked his front door when he went to sleep in the evening before the presents disappeared, so the thief had easy access to his belongings, mbl.is reports.

Later it was revealed that a friend of the house owner had taken his presents to teach him a lesson so he would never forget to lock his front door again.
