The Family Help Grows Potatoes

By growing their own potatoes and cabbage, this summer Fjölskylduhjálp Íslands, the Iceland Family Help organization, will save half a million ISK, ruv.is reports. Yearly, the organization buys 4 million ISK worth of potatoes for its clients.

The potatoes are being grown at Reykjavík’s farm land in Skammdalur, Mosfellsbaer. They hope that this fall’s harvest will be 2 tons. Every week, the Iceland Family Help organization provides its clients with 700 kilos of potatoes.
