Tenth Issue of What’s On in Reykjavík Arrives

The latest issue of What’s On in Reykjavík 2007 has been published, a free guide to the most important cultural and artistic events in the capital region in November. The hottest topic in this issue is Yoko Ono’s Imagine Peace Tower.

What’s On offers extensive coverage of the Peace Tower, created by artist and proponent for peace Yoko Ono as a contribution to world peace, and was erected on Videy island off the Reykjavík coast last October 9.

The tower is in the form of a column of light, which will shine every year between October 9, the birthday of Ono’s late husband John Lennon, and December 8, the day he died. The Peace Tower will also shine on special holidays, like New Year’s Eve.

In addition to listings of the most noteworthy galleries, museums, clubs, tourists attractions and restaurants in the capital region, the tenth issue of What’s On also has special coverage on two well-known restaurants in Reykjavík.
