Ten-Year-Old Raps About Grandma

Ten-year-old rapper Úlfur Emilio a.k.a. Góði Úlfurinn (The Good Wolf) released his first single “Græða peninginn” last weekend, and it has made quite an impression. In the single, Úlfur raps about his after-school activities, such as visiting his grandma to eat cake.

Úlfur attends Árbæjarskóli school, and told Nútímann in an interview that after his friends heard the song they wanted to be in the next video.

Úlfur’s stepfather Maikel Medina is a musician and says the two have wanted to produce a song together for a while. When asked about his musical role models, Úlfur lists Icelandic rappers JóiP and Emmsjé Gauti, who has shared his video on Twitter.

The staff of Iceland Review would like to wish Úlfur a happy 10th birthday today, along with continued musical success.
