Taxi Driver in Iceland Robbed with Syringe

A taxi driver was threatened with a syringe and robbed in Trönuhjalli in Kópavogur shortly after midnight last night. The perpetrator got away with cash. Police say they have a suspect and are currently looking for that person.

In other recent crime-related news, shortly before 4 am last night police pulled over a vehicle in Borgartún in Reykjavík, reports.

The driver proved to be intoxicated and drugs were found in the car. The driver and two passengers were placed behind bars

Also, around 5 am someone broke into an electronics store on Sídumúli in Reykjavík. No suspect has been arrested yet and it isn’t clear what was stolen.
