Ticket sales for “An Evening with Tarantino” began this morning at 10 a.m. At 10:09 all 500 tickets had sold out. Early this morning fans started lining up outside music store Skífan and according to Morgunbladid at 10 a.m. the load on the web server of Iceland Film Festival was extremely heavy.
Representatives from the Iceland Film Festival have asked the media to report that they are completely sold out for this event.
According to Morgunbladid, movie maker Quentin Tarantino has a loyal and large group of fans in Iceland and there is much interest in him and his work in the country.
Morgunbladid reports that in the future Tarantino and Iceland Film Festival plan towork together quite a bit although they yet to announce on what. Icelanders can expect “An Evening with Tarantino” to become a early event with movie enthusiasts ending the year at an annual Tarantino movie party.
Tarantino will select the three movies to be shown at “An Evening with Tarantino” from his own private collection. He will also introduce the movies, watch them and answer questions from the audience after the screenings.
The screenings will be a the University Theater on December 30th.
