Suspected of hit-and-run incident

Four men have been questioned by the police because of an alleged hit-and-run incident in Reykjavík.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />

A man in his sixties was found lying unconscious on a street in Breidholt, (a subdivision of Reykjavík) last Friday night. He has spent the weekend hooked up to a respirator but according to Fréttabladid daily he is regaining consciousness. However, it is unclear whether he has yet been questioned.

The four men that the police brought in for questioning have been released. It has not been revealed if they confessed to have had anything to do with the accident. Nevertheless, their car has been seized for further inspection.
