“[The victim] had suffered blows to the head, which are believed to have led to his death. Police arrested the suspect outside the house. He was bloody and appeared to be intoxicated,” a statement from chief constable Fridrik Smári Björgvinsson reads, visir.is reports.

Due to his condition, the suspect couldn’t be questioned immediately after he was arrested.

It is believed that the suspect and victim knew each other. The suspect lived in the room where the body was found. Björgvinsson said police are working hard on solving the case and are questioning other people who lived in the house.
