The 9th annual Vid Djúpid Music Festival, featuring classical music, will take place in Ísafjördur, the West Fjords, during the summer solstice, June 21-26, 2011.

This year, participating artists include Alessio Bax, piano, Kurt Nikkanen, violin, Saeunn Thorsteinsdóttir, cello, Lucille Chung, piano, James Austin Smith, oboe, Owen Dalby, violin, Meena Bhasin, viola, and the Ensemble ACJW.
Compositions by Anton Svanberg, Halldór Smárason and Sebastian Ingvarsson will be premiered during the festival.
