Summer Arrives in Iceland

The temperature, at Kvísker, Southeast Iceland, was 17.5°C (65°F) today, and just one degree lower in the town of Seyðisfjörður, the East Fjords. The weather is unseasonably warm for this time of the year, according to the Icelandic Met Office.

The temperature reached 8°C (46°F) in London, the same in Thórshavn in the Faroe Islands, and 4°C (39°F) in New York. In Stockholm and Moscow, residents had to make do with 0°C (32°F).
