An exhibition of photographs of the band Sugarcubes, of which Björk was a member, in concert in 1988 by Jóhann Águst Hansen opens at Mokka kaffi in Reykjavík at 5 pm today.
The exhibition, Divinity Revisited, features photographs from the concert Dýrðin kvödd (‘Goodbye Glory’) which took place at Hotel Ísland 25 years ago.
The name of the concert referred to the American performer and transvestite, Harris Glenn Milsted, better known under the stage name of Divine, who had passed away two weeks earlier. In honor of Milsted, the concert opened with a drag show.
Following the show, the band set out on a tour of the U.S. having just signed a contract for six albums with label Electra.
