Sudden Weather Change Release First Album

Icelandic rock band Sudden Weather Change is scheduled to release its first studio album, Stop! Handgrenade In The Name of Crib Death ‘nderstand? on April 1. The first single “St. Peters Day” will be sent to radio stations next week.

At the same time, the song will become available for download on the website of Kimi Records.

The cover photo was taken by Hördur Sveinsson during the Aldrei fór ég sudur festival (“I never went south”) in the West Fjords last year.

Sudden Weather Change have been earning a good reputation in Iceland lately, especially for their performance during concerts, and were chosen Most Promising Band for 2009 by Morgunbladid’s journalists.

The album contains 13 songs, including some “loud experimental rock songs,” as described by Kimi Records. The songs were recorded in Iceland from August 2008 to February 2009 and mixed in Goodbeating Studios in London.
