Successful art festival in east Iceland

The eighth annual LungA festival, an art festival for young people held in east Iceland, ended yesterday. About 130 people, half of them foreign visitors, attended the seven workshops open during the festival.

At the workshops festival goers could engage themselves with music, acting and circus tricks, dancing, fashion design, animation, visual art, and stomping, Morgunbladid reports.

“I thought the festival was incredibly successful this year and I especially noticed how relaxed everyone was,” said Sigrídur Eir Zophaníasdóttir, who is on the board of the festival.

The festival ended with a concert where the bands Bloodgroup, Skátar, Jeff Who?, Mínus and Trabant performed.
