Storm Warning for West Fjords and Southeast Iceland

The Icelandic Met Office has issued a warning for the West Fjords and Southeast Iceland. Strong winds, exceeding 20 meters per second, are expected in those areas today.

Travelers should check the weather forecast. The storm will be accompanied by rain and by sleet and snow in more elevated areas. Snow showers can be expected in mountain passes in the north and northeast. Strong gusts of wind are to be expected by mountains, the strongest ones in Southeast Iceland.
