The temperatures are forecast to remain around freezing point under which circumstances roads can become particularly slippery, ruv.is reports.

Road conditions are currently icy around the country with snow cover in some locations in the south and west and blizzard conditions in the mountain pass Öxnadalsheiði in the north.

In the afternoon the wind is expected calm for a while with sleet or snowfall to hit the west and rain to fall in the south. In the evening the wind is expected to pick up and reach up to 23 meters per second, visir.is reports.
