Storm Warning across Iceland

A storm warning has been issued for most parts of Iceland today. People are advised against traveling.

Increasing southwesterly and westerly winds are forecast for today with sleet or snow, beginning in the west of the country. Winds of 18 to 25 m/s are forecast, strongest in the north.

Tomorrow southwesterly winds of 18 to 25 m/s are forecast, strongest in the northwest of the country. There will be widespread rain with the exception of the northeast and east where it will be dry. On Sunday southwesterly winds of 15 to 23 m/s and snowshowers are forecast, though it will be mainly dry in the northeast.
