Still No Sign of Missing German Tourist

There is still no sign of the German tourist Christian Mathias Markus who went missing in Breiðavík in the West Fjords last week, visir.is reports.

Christian was last seen on Thursday, September 18, when he left his hotel. He was traveling alone in a rented car, a Suzuki Grand Vitara, which was found empty at the Látrabjarg parking lot on Tuesday morning.

A foreign traveler found the German’s passport in the West Fjords, probably in the area of Látrabjarg, and handed it over to the police before leaving the country. Due to bad weather it has been difficult to search for the missing man.

An image of the missing person can be viewed here. If you have information about his disappearance, please contact police on + 354 450-3730 or 112.
