Even though spectators will be allowed, the National Olympic and Sports Association of Iceland (ÍSÍ) was tasked with setting more specific safety regulations for its associations and teams. In order to observe the current gathering limits, for instance, spectators will be divided into sections of no more than 100 people. People within these sections will be required to maintain a two-metre distance from one another and no moving between sections will be allowed. Each section will have its own designated restroom facilities and its own concessions area, if food is to be sold at the event.

Children born in 2005 or later are exempt from gathering limits and distancing regulations.
