Special Prosecutor Questions KPMG Employees

Three employees of the auditing firm KPMG were questioned on behalf of the Office of the Special Prosecutor on Thursday and documents concerning the investment company Milestone and related companies were confiscated at KPMG’s headquarters.

No formal arrests followed these operations. When asked, Special Prosecutor Ólafur Þór Hauksson said the matter is not connected with the so-called Vafningur affair in which charges have already been issued, visir.is reports.

Managing director of KPMG Sigurður Jónsson said the investigation leading to the questioning has been ongoing for some time and that the company has submitted documents to aid investigators.
