An Icelandic electronic music artist, 7oi, wrote music especially for the release of Scampi Bisque on Soup Stock Tokyo’s new menu and since the release his music has been playing all over Japan at Soup Stock chains.

According to Japanese journalist Yuka Ogura, 7oi’s music is being well received by the restaurant’s guests and his first album will soon be released in both Japan and Iceland.

Scampi Bisque will be available at Soup Stock restaurants until the end of this year and is scheduled to be made available as frozen soup (for mail order) in February 2009.

There are more than 50 Soup Stock restaurants in Japan.
