Some Like It Hot Screened at Reykjavík Pool

At the upcoming Reykjavík International Film Festival (RIFF), on September 24, the 1959 comedy Some Like It Hot by director Billy Wilder, starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Lack Lemmon, will be screened at the 73-year-old swimming pool Sundhöll Reykjavíkur.

The swimming pool cinema was introduced at last year’s RIFF, where film viewers can have a swim while enjoying a good movie. A special tropical atmosphere will be created at Sundhöllin for the screening of Some Like It Hot with white sand and palm trees, Morgunbladid reports.

The seventh annual Reykjavík International Film Festival (RIFF) takes place between September 23 and October 3 this year, during which approximately 100 films will be screened. This year’s honorary guest is American filmmaker Jim Jarmusch.
