Soccer Club FH loses for the first time in Soccer League

Winners of the National Soccer league in 2005 and leaders in the league in 2006, FH of Hafnarfjördur lost its first game this season to cup holders Valur of Reykjavík Sunday night. FH still leads the premier division by ten points. Had they won tonight there would have been no stopping them for second successive national title. FH has 26 pints after 11 games, has won eight games, drawn two and lost in only one. The game on the home field of FH in Hafnarfjördur ended 1 to 2 in favor of Valur. Valur is now tied for second place with Fylkir of Reykjavík with 16 points but Fylkir has only played ten games whereas Valur has played 11. Valur won the Cup last year and came in second after FH in the National league. The two teams trailing in the league are ÍBV from Vestmannaeyjar and ÍA from Akranes. Both towns are famous for good football players.
