Sales of snuff have increased by 42 percent during the first four months of this year, according to the State Alcohol and Tobacco Company of Iceland (ÁTVR).
More than 10,000 kilograms of snuff was sold from January to April, compared to around 7,000 during the same period last year, visir.is reports. Snuff is also used as chewing tobacco.
Sales of cigarettes increased by 8.8 percent while sales of cigars decreased by 1.9 percent.
Alcohol sales were up 3 percent.
