The Public Health Institute in Iceland sent brochures to all restaurants in the country yesterday to introduce the smoking ban which will take effect on June 1, 2007.
The brochure covers the experience of other nations of a smoking ban in restaurants, its influence on business and the reaction of customers. Fréttabladid reports.
In addition to the brochure, the Public Health Institute sent stickers to the restaurants, meant for labeling those restaurants that have a smoking ban already.
At the beginning of next year the Public Health Institute will continue informing restaurant owners and the public about what the smoking ban will entail.
