Smoked Salmon up in Smoke

On Christmas Eve 300 kilograms, a total of 32 boxes, of smoked salmon was stolen from Eðalfiskur in Borgarnes, West Iceland, a company that specializes in processing fish.

Three days earlier, the thieves had broken into the container and checked the quality of the fish. They did not steal anything then but on Christmas Eve, they went for it, despite new and much stronger locks.

If you have information about the whereabouts of 300 kilograms of top quality smoked salmon please contact the Borgarnes police at +354 433 7612. They police do not believe the thieves can consume all the salmon on their own so they might try to sell it.
