Slugs Perform in Open Concert

Icelandic “love and danger punk” group Slugs, which released their first studio album, also named Slugs, in October, will play in an open concert in Smekkleysa record store on Laugavegur, Reykjavík’s main shopping street at 3 pm on Saturday.

The album includes ten songs with lyrics that have the goal of “pointing out the hypocrisy of Icelandic music and the life of the nation in general,” as described in a press release.

At the end of this month Slugs will launch an Iceland tour, in cooperation with punk-rock bands Dr. Spock and Agent Fresco, the latter of which received considerable attention during the Iceland Airwaves festival last month.
