Icelandic actress Gudrún Ásmundsdóttir has submitted a proposition to the Cultural Council of Reykjavík, suggesting the old movie theater in the historic building Fjalarkötturinn be used for showing silent movies.
A movie theater used to be facilitated at the building Fjalarkötturinn (“The Theater Cat”) in Central Reykjavík, which is now a hotel and a restaurant.
According to Fréttabladid, Ásmundsdóttir would like to see the theater renovated and used for screening silent movies with live piano play.
