To commemorate the end of their world tour on Sunday, Sigur Rós will release a special edition of their latest album Med sud í eyrum vid spilum endalaust, which has received positive reviews in the world press.
The special edition, which is comprised of a CD, a DVD and an elegantly-bound booklet, will only be available as 300 copies in Iceland, as revealed in a press release from Smekkleysa record store.
The special edition also includes a clip from the “Gobbledigook” music video, which was the album’s first single.
Photographer Eva Vermandel and filmmaker Nicholas Abrahams accompanied the band through the entire production process of the album. No other Sigur Rós album has been recorded in a shorter time span.
The album was recorded in various places, including Reykjavík, New York, London and Mexico City.
