A song by Icelandic band Sigur Rós was featured in a pivotal scene in the second episode of popular television series Game of Thrones, season 4.
The song, The Rains of Castamere, was written especially for the show.
The scene revolved around the wedding of the young King Joffrey and Lady Margaery.
“We were honored to be Joffrey’s official wedding band on tonight’s Game of Thrones. What a wonderful occasion!” the band announced on its Facebook page.
According to mbl.is the Game of Thrones writers and producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss, are fans of the band. In Season 4, the band will make a guest appearance in the series.
