Sigur Rós received two awards yesterday at the 15th annual Icelandic Music Awards, in the categories of Best Songwriter and Best Pop/Rock Album for Med sud í eyrum vid spilum endalaust.

“We do know how to speak. It’s just a little difficult in front of so many people. So we kind of always just say thank you,” said Sigur Rós bass player Georg Hólm after receiving the second award, Fréttabladid reports.
The hit song “Thú komst vid hjartad í mér” by Toggi and Páll Óskar was named Song of the Year, Emilíana Torrini was named Voice of the Year and up-and-coming rockers Agent Fresco received the award for Most Promising Band/Musician.
Anna Gudný Gudmundsdóttir was chosen Performer of the Year, Ómar Gudjónsson received an award for Jazz Album of the Year and Jóhann Jóhannsson for Classic/Contemporary Album of the Year.
“ORA” by Áskell Másson was named Composition of the Year.
