Sigur Rós are not the only Icelandic musicians included in the Rolling Stone’s listing; Vespertine by Björk is in 67th place, Morgunbladid reports.

Orri Páll Dýrason, Sigur Rós’s drummer, said the inclusion is a great honor, although he usually doesn’t contemplate much on such listings.

Icelandic music critic Arnar Eggert Thoroddsen stated that the selection shows that this respected music magazine considers Sigur Rós, “among the best bands in the world.”

Sigur Rós front man Jónsi is currently working on a solo album to be released next year.
