After obtaining the mandate from President of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson on Tuesday, Sigmundur met leaders of all parties that earned seats in parliament after the election on April 27.
According to mbl.is, Sigmundur decided this morning to meet Bjarni again. However, their meeting is not considered the start of formal coalition talks.
It’s unclear when Sigmundur will decide to launch formal talks. An announcement to that regard is expected later today or tomorrow.
