Sigmundur Davíð Gets Second Assistant

asmundur_einar_dadasonPrime Minister Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson has hired a new assistant, parliamentarian and sheep farmer Ásmundur Einar Daðason (b. 1982). He has been a member of Alþingi, the Icelandic parliament, for the Northwest Constituency since 2009.

Ásmundur has been a member of the Budget Committee since 2013 and also served from 2009-2011, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee since 2013 (1st Vice-Chairman since 2013) and a member of the Icelandic delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) since 2013.

He will not get any additional government pay for the extra job, being the Prime Minister’s second hand.

His current assistant Jóhannes Þór Skúlason will continue to work for Sigmundur Davíð.
