The annual sheep roundup from the highlands has been going unusually well in the past days, thanks to warm and mostly dry weather. Visir.is reports this today.

This is a change from the past, when shepherds could expect sleet and even blizzards while searching for their sheep. In Iceland, sheep graze freely during the summer.
According to a shepherd, this year’s roundup looks more like a nice trek. Moreover, the sheep are in excellent condition, as a result of this summer’s lush vegetation in the highlands.
This weekend a number of roundups will take place all over Iceland.
