Sheep Delay Traffic

Sheep may delay your travels today. It is the sheep roundup season, meaning that you’ll have plenty of time to count sheep while they cross the road. According to the Icelandic Road Adminstration, delays were expected this morning on the road by Fornihvammur in Borgarfjörður, West Iceland, and into the afternoon. Speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/hr.

The Stafholtsréttir roundup in Skeiðahreppur and Gnúpverjahreppur districts take place today and the Reykjaréttir roundup is scheduled for tomorrow, so delays are expected on road 32, (Þjórsárdalsvegur road), South Iceland, today. Tomorrow, there could be delays on road 30, (Skeiðavegur road), South Iceland, after 1 pm.
