Sheep Buried in Snow Found Alive Ten Days after Storm

Farmers in South Þingeyjarsýsla district continue to find sheep alive, buried in snow ten days after the blizzard hit Northeast Iceland. Others have been found dead, but the situation varies between regions, mbl.is reports.

Many sheep are still missing. In recent days, ICE-SAR search and rescue teams have continued their search with the use of dogs.

The weather forecast is for fine weather with continued good visibility.
