The British Serious Fraud Office (SFO) is planning further raids in the near future in cooperation with the Office of the Special Prosecutor in Iceland in relation to the investigation of the banking collapse in 2008, as reported by the Sunday Telegraph yesterday.

Nine people were arrested and questioned in the SFO and Special Prosecutor’s actions in the UK and Iceland last Wednesday. They were all released after questioning on the condition that they would voluntarily come in for further questioning.
It is unclear when SFO’s next raids will take place. Special Prosecutor Ólafur Thór Hauksson would not comment to Morgunbladid on the progress of the investigation. It includes loans which Kaupthing granted shortly before the collapse.
