During the last few days, the police in the capital region have arrested several men on account of drug possession, production and abuse, mbl.is reports.
The police in Kópavogur stopped a man in a car on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and without a driver’s license. The man, who has been stopped by police before, is also charged with drug dealing and possession of weapons. Another man was arrested in Kópavogur on Thursday afternoon for producing drugs.
In an unrelated case, two men, suspected of driving under the influence of drugs, were arrested in the Reykjavík suburb of Grafarholt on Thursday afternoon. One of them did not have a driver’s license.
On Thursday and Friday night, several more men were caught with drugs in their possession . One of them is a suspect in various cases and remains in custody.
