By Iceland Review

Hulda Jónsdóttir, a 17-year-old Icelandic violinist, has been accepted to the respected Juilliard School in New York. She is the youngest Icelander who has ever been accepted to the school.

“All first-year students are obligated to live at the school’s dormitory, which I’m sure will be fun,” Jónsdóttir told Morgunbladid.

“This will definitely be a demanding course of study and competitive because everyone who gets accepted are outstanding artists and also ambitious,” Jónsdóttir added.
