Seven-Year Prison Sentence Upheld over Sex Offender

The Supreme Court of Iceland yesterday upheld the Reykjavík District Court’s seven-year prison sentence over Karl Vignir Þorsteinsson for sex offenses against three men suffering from mental disabilities, reports.

As reported earlier this year, Karl Vignir was found guilty of rape and soliciting prostitution. He is said to have abused his victims repeatedly between 1995 and 2012, taken advantage of their disabilities and paid them for sexual favors.
