A man is seriously injured after a car accident in Hrútafjörður, Northwest Iceland, last night. The car he drove rolled over. The man was traveling alone.
He was transported by the Icelandic Coast Guard helicopter to Landspítali University Hospital in Reykjavík. According to a doctor on call, he remains in intensive care with life-threatening injuries.
According to Hilmar Hilmarsson, police officer in Blönduós, road conditions were good where the accident occurred.
