The National Museum of Iceland is holding a seminar today on the interaction between museums and creative media in relation to the exhibit “Ways in Between,” which is on display until September 30.

Issues discussed during the seminar surround questions like: “How can we share our cultural heritage?” and “Does there have to be a conflict between the obligation to preserve and the demand of open museums?”

Curators and experts on art, history and literature with experience in museum work will participate in a panel discussion at the seminar, to which everyone is welcome.

The exhibition “Ways in Between” by Gudbjörg Lind Jónsdóttir, Gudbjörg Kristjánsdóttir and Kristín Jónsdóttir combines art and cultural heritage. The artists were inspired by objects stored at the National Museum.
