A total of 60 acts are now on the bill for the third annual Secret Solstice festival, with heavyweights Deftones, Jamie Jones, Skream, Apollonia, Visionquest and Goldie being added to already-announced names like Of Monsters And Men and Kerri Chandler. The final total of acts for the 2016 event is set for around 130 names, according to organizers.
Secret Solstice 2016 will take place on June 17-19 in Reykjavík’s Laugardalur park—marketing itself as a unique and special opportunity for foreign guests to experience a three-day festival with no nighttime darkness at all. The ultimate summer experience.
After only two outings so far, including significant teething troubles in 2014, Secret Solstice has already made a global name for itself and, despite its very urban outdoor location, has even managed to remain popular with (most) local residents.
Tickets are on sale already, with three-day passes starting at ISK 17,900 (EUR 126/USD 136).
The festival has also announced its very-limited-edition Package of the Gods ticket, which includes a helicopter ride to a party inside a glacier, unlimited limo travel, backstage passes, meet and greets with the artists, and more—and it can be yours for a mere ISK 1,500,000 (EUR 10,500/USD 11,400).
