Icelandic artist Hrafnkell Sigurdsson (pictured) has put his work on display in Sudsudvestur gallery in Reykjavík. His exhibition can be seen until 28 November.
Sigurdsson is inspired by the “masculine tradition of modernism and abstract expressionalism,” as it says in a press release.
His exhibition includes recent paintings with oil on canvas, as well as older art works such as “The Crew” a series of photographs of seaman clothing. Also on display are Sigurdsson’s montage photographs of domestic garbage.
The inset photograph of the artist was taken by Fridrik Örn.
