Say it Ain’t So. Anna Mjöll to Divorce Cal Worthington?

It seemed like a marriage made in heaven. Car dealer‘s heaven that is. On April 9 singer Anna Mjöll Ólafsdóttir married Cal Worthington, one of the richest car dealers in the world. Anna Mjöll was born in 1970 to musical parents–band leader and composer Ólafur Gaukur and his wife, singer Svanhildur Jakobsdóttir. The groom was older, being born in 1920 he was 91 years old. But age is not important when you are in love.

Happier times for Anna Mjöll and Cal.

According to gossip bible TMZ Anna Mjöll has now filed for divorce after only eight months of marriage. Her Icelandic fans are in shock.

Anna Mjöll performed the song Sjúbídú in the Eurovision song contest in 1996. She composed the song with her father, the late Ólafur Gaukur, the grand old man of Icelandic pop music.

Cal Worthington was famous in California for his commercials: “Go see Cal, go see Cal, go see Cal,” which feature all sorts of farm and other animals, including his dog Spot.

Anna Worthington cites irreconcilable differences in her divorce petition.

Even though they were only married for several months, the 41 year-old Anna Mjöll wants spousal support from 91-year-old Cal. The couple have no kids.
