Activist group Saving Iceland claims that last night it closed down offices and institutions which they consider as ”being accomplice to doing massive damage to nature”. Mbl.is reports this.

Among them are The Ministry of Industry, The Ministry of Environment, Ístak, Jardboranir, HRV Hönnun and portable offices of IPC, Iceland Prime Contractor.
“The companies and the institutions we closed down have all demonstrated a deliberate mens rea against Icelandic nature and will stop at nothing in their quest for easy profit and convenient agreements, even with companies with a despicable history. Therefore, closing them down was long overdue, so that further devastation could not take place,” the group said in a statement.
