US actress Sandra Bullock is set to star in the movie Agenda 1, which will be shot in Iceland at the end of this year. Reportedly, the film’s director and producers fell in love with the landscape of the Westfjords.
According to Fréttabladid, the director of Agenda 1, Olatunde Osunsanmi, and representatives from Dead Crow Production and Focus Film, which cooperate on the production of the movie, visited Iceland last year.
“They were in disguise and said they came from a small independent movie company. I wasn’t impressed but I lent them my car and one assistant,” said managing director of Saga Film Kristján Grétarsson.
Grétarsson said they liked the Westfjordian landscape so much that they decided to move planned studio shoots outside to capture the Westfjords as well as possible.
Most of Agenda 1 will be shot in Iceland. Grétarsson said the project is very comprehensive and that most members of the camera crew will be Icelandic.
Grétarsson said Icelandic actors would possibly get a role in the movie as well.
