Artistic director of the San Francisco Ballet, Icelander Helgi Tómasson, is planning to bring the dance company to Iceland to perform, Morgunblaðið reports.
Helgi has been looking at the conditions of Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavík with the performance in mind. “The concert hall is not designed for such a large performance but the stage is rather big and it must be possible to set up decent performance in the building. The acoustics are also good and Eldborg concert hall seats many,” Helgi said.
Helgi, who was born in Reykjavík in 1942, is a former ballet dancer and has been artistic director of San Francisco Ballet for the past 30 years.
