A decorative belt buckle found in Húsafell, near Borgarfjörður, West Iceland, over the summer is believed to have belonged to saga author Snorri Sturluson.

The buckle is thought to be from some time between 1250 and 1400, skesshuhorn.is reports.
Hikers found the object in a dirt ridge above a farm house.
