Rocket Launched in South Iceland

Students in the Masters in Engineering program at the University of Reykjavík launched three high power rockets at Mýrdalssandur, South Iceland, last Thursday.

One of the people behind the rockets, Ívar Kristinsson, told mbl.is that they are part of the Bifröst Aurora project, which goal is to get an inside look into the northern lights. The idea came from U.S. artists Eric Adamsons and Heins Kim who want to film the northern lights inside out.
